Robert, a branding based director with both agency and client-side experience, has an extensive background in providing the creative leadership and guidance necessary to drive the achievement of key organizational marketing-related goals. A 15-year veteran working for multimillion-dollar brands in the natural products space, and a strategic designer at heart, Robert understands how to build brands that drive sales, all while staying within the complex and ever-changing regulatory restrictions.
Robert joined Country Life Vitamins early in his career where he established himself as a respected designer and developer, while gaining unparalleled experience in what was then considered a newly regulated space. From there he progressed into Art Director for New Vitality and NutriScience (f.k.a Nutricap Labs), a leading direct marketer and contract manufacturing of premium nutritional supplements and personal care products. During his first three years on staff, Robert played an integral role in driving the growth for both companies by building the brand and managing the internal systems to support the creative for a 2000% growth in products offered from 8 to 175 SKU’s, helping to increase annual revenue from 3MM to 250MM per year. New Vitality was then acquired by the Baird Financial Corp. Robert remained on the transition team for an additional three years and helped to further build the company into a multi-product, multi-channel direct-to-consumer business focused on the health and wellness market. At the time New Vitality was sold, NutriScience separated from New Vitality and was later acquired by Twin Labs.
As a creative leader in hyper-growth driven organizations, Robert has a deep understanding of the unique challenges that one faces in a product-driven environment. As a former competitive cyclist, he has always been drawn to the natural products industry. This brought him to the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the epicenter of the natural products movement. Here he runs his boutique creative consulting studio where he incorporates his product management expertise and consumer insights to develop brands that can stand out in saturated markets. He pushes for design and imagery that breaks through the visual clutter and his vision, creativity and technical skills enable him to execute on all levels and for all technologies. As a bonus, he gets to ride in a world-class cycling destination.
